Inland Valley Coach of the Year 2007

Coach Tom Inglima

For more information regarding the Ayala Football Program, please contact Coach Tom Inglima at (909)627-3584 x2527

Coach Inglima graduated from Brea-Olinda in 1983 and went to Fullerton College where he earned a football scholarship to Cal State Northridge.  He earned a degree in Kinesiology and a credential in physical education.  He is presently teaching athletic P.E. at Ayala High School.  He has been coaching high school football for 16 years and has been part of a CIF championship team in 1997 at Santa Margarita High School.  This will be the start of his fourth season at Ayala and he has been pleased with the team’s efforts this off-season.  Last season the Bulldogs went 9-3 and won the Sierra League Championship.  Shortly after that, the team celebrated by hanging the new banner in their gymnasium.  Coach Inglima hopes the players are excited enough and mature enough to keep this new trend going.

Coach Inglima has two sons Tommy (14), a freshman at Ayala, and Joey (13) a 7th grader at Canyon Hills.  Tommy is a football player for the Bulldogs and Joey plays ice Hockey in Ontario.

Coach loves to exercise, watch movies, play cards, and hang out with his sons and good friends.

One of Coach’s favorite quotes is “If you don’t want someone else to discipline you, then discipline YOURSELF”.

One other is  “Its your choice… Choose the Pain of Discipline or Choose the Pain of Regret”.
